This was indeed low budget quality. I didn't go beyond the first disk. It is hard to watch after seeing the Tudors on Showtime even though that may not be totally historically accurate. This one was boring! You don't get involved with the characters as they don't seem to be developed in the film.

I enjoyed this program as much as I did in 1972. It is well written and acted and strives for historical accuracy. While the Tudors may be entertaining and high tech, I wonder about its historical accuracy...

I was bored & disinterested in watching beyond the first ten mins of the dvd. Ive watched many different reenactment of Henry VIII and this was the worst! The low budget quality did not make it any better. I agree with others that after watching the Tudors on Showtime, this early 1971 telecast was kind of difficult to watch. I dont plan to watch the rest of the other discs.
