    First of all, this movie is not for kids. It is violent, bloody, demented and weird, and has some nudity. I checked this movie out because of the director, and this early effort sounded just unusual enough for me to like. It was a pleasant surprise. It is sick, twisted and nightmarish. The narrative was quite good. Although the story is about the title characters, it is told from the point of view of the two victims. The long nightmare sequence toward the end was odd, but at least it's memorable and it somehow worked. The score was good and fitting, very unsettling. And I never realized how beautiful Margot Kidder was.

    This is probably one of the best non-Hitchcock American thriller. Usually you want a good thriller you see a Hitchcock film or an Italian giallo but this is a real shocker. From director Brian De Palma this is a really good suspense film with all the necessary elements. It conveys an eerie atmosphere all revolving around a murder. To top it all off we have a lovely score by the great Bernard Herman (Psycho). And also for people who didn't like the storyline and thought it was to slow I suggest you develop a longer attention span or stick to you mindless action films. And finally the reason the blood was so bright and unrealistic is because before Dick Smiths formula (which he created in the very late 70's and is still used today) films used what is called M3 blood which looked like melted crayon. But that's all they had. If look at any film before 1979 you will see the M3 blood. From Dawn of the Dead to Bay Of Blood. I personally like it and I think it enhance the beauty of the film.

    Here's a good one for psychological thriller with a hint of slasher film buffs. You won't find many reviewers of this because its an older film therefore the teenies aren't aware of it. Take a chance on this one.
