I got this movie because I'm a big Adrienne Barbeau fan. I was expecting her usual Grade B Minus movie where her breasts enter the room five minutes before her brain. Instead, to my surprise, I found she did a passably good turn at serious acting. The plot was intricate to the point of confusing and not all the loose ends were tied up neatly, but the final climax was genuinely gripping and intense, perhaps only if you have children of your own, but the same criticism could be made of Stephen King's Pet Sematary, the last book of his that was at all scary. And keep watching through the credits, the last bit of business is worth it.

Don't bother! Just skip this movie! Wait to MAYBE catch it on cable.

Unholy is pretty much unwatchable. It's literally 10 lbs of stupid in a 5 lb sack. I figured with this cast you'd at least get a decent horror flick. This doesn't even pass as awful. They don't really give much of a time frame. So the story is immediately confusing. Then you get allegations of government corruption, a necromancer, time travel, mind control, invisibility, suicide and Nazi's. It all mixes together for a very labored convoluted mess. None of it makes sense and you really are dumber for having ever watched it.
