An old-fashioned cop emerges to foil a high-tech attack on the country's computer infrastructure as Bruce Willis brings back one of the biggest action franchises in screen history. It's been over a decade since audiences last saw New York cop John McClane (Willis), but now, as the world's greatest criminal mastermind (Timothy Olyphant) attempts to cripple the entire country with an innovative act of technological terrorism, only one cop can insure that the integrity of the system stays intact. In this, the fourth installment of the long-running action series, Underworld director Len Wiseman picks up the torch formerly carried by directors John McTiernan and Renny Harlin to helm a script penned by Mark Bomback. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Live Free or Die Hard is by far the best Die Hard movie yet to be made. I was so excited to go see it in the theatre when it first came out. From the minute it started I was intrigued. The action sequence is amazing. There was never a dull moment throughout the movie. Bruce Willis out did himself in this edition of Die Hard. I give this movie 2 thumbs up and more if I could. I am sooo excited to see that it is coming out on dvd. I will be one of the first people on line to purchase this movie.

I don't agree that this is the best Die Hard yet, but it is quite entertaining as there are some spectacular action scenes. The actor that shines here is Justin Long while the other actors suffer from over-acting and corny dialogue. I was also thankful the Unrated version was included on the DVD because the PG-13 version just doesn't cut it. You just can't take the "F" words out of a Die Hard movie. Unlike the previous movies where you felt that the plot could actually happen, the plot of this movie is ridiculously unrealistic. This is fine but just shows the aging of this franchise.
