people in the states will have never heard of this show, but it is quite good. the characters are funny and it centers around bernard, an alcoholic bookkeeper. sounds heavy but it is light comedy. took me a while to get into it, but later the shows got funnier and funnier. silly and irreverant. not quite the wry british humor that i thought it would be (and wanted) but still funny, overall. sometimes a bit like sienfeld/friends. cute/short/fun overall.

I work in a book store, so that made it even more hilarious. Bernard is the biggest curmudgeon I've ever seen! I wish that this series wasn't so short.

These are pretty funny, but the first one in the serious had me splitting my sides.
