What a terrific series! It's such a shame it only lasted one season! The first and last discs were the best. The second disc began to delve into the advent of Christianity and those few episodes got a little cheesy and then quickly dropped off, returning to the more mystic aspects of the series. The next to last episode should have been the finale, called The Cage. It would have been a great cliffhanger for a second season which obviously never happened. This is rather Zena-esque but much better, I think. Costuming was a little B rate but I'm sure they did the best they could with the budget. All in all, so good I'm sad......... that there wasn't MORE! Everyone I've told to watch it has agreed.

I can't believe they cancelled this series. If you like series about magic, celtics, mysticism and so, this is a good series. It's not over the top like Hercules and Zena, but well done. It's not the special effects like those 2 that make the scenes, it's the acting and dialog. Good series. I wish it was still on.

Druids dying out and Christianity emerging. One of the main protaganists is Centurian that pierced Christ's side on the cross and now lives forever (immortal) under the curse! He longs for his own death Heath Ledger is the main character - a young clan chieftain whose clan has been wiped out. He's under the tuteledge of a loyal great warrior that was a friend of his father's. What can I say - I love to see men being men (macho). Interesting time period of the dying out of the druids to the rise of Christianity.
