Kathy Griffin is very funny. I laughed at times even when I shouldn't be laughing because the joke was mean or innapropriate. There's something about her that's very funny. I especially like the stuff in the show that has to do with her life. That's the funniest for me. She's at her best when she's just being her normal, d-list self. Her parents are hysterical too. I can't stop laughing every time their on screen. All in all a great show. Not for everyone. She has a lot of innaprpriate jokes and she swears a lot. But if you're a fan of stand-up you'll enjoy it.
The first season of "My Life On the D-List" is charming in a lot of ways because it starts out when Kathy is truly considered to be somewhat of a 'B-List' celebrity; the entire first season is only 6 episodes stretched across 2 Discs.
In addition to the very funny 6 episodes of the show, Kathy has also treated everyone by putting one of her stand-up specials on 'Disc 2' of the set. "Kathy Griffin...Is Not Nicole Kidman" is the name of the stand-up special and it is just as hilarious as the episodes themselves. Rent now!
Amazingly addictive. Kathy Griffin has the ability to verbalize what everyone else in the room is thinking, but in a way that offends no one (well, almost no one). Comfort food for the mind.
