What was life like in the early part of the 19th century? Viewers will find out as they watch Reading Rainbow: Ox-Cart Man, which explores the daily routine of this time period. Host LeVar Burton goes to Massachusetts to explore Old Sturbridge Village, a site where people wear period costumes and go about the business of the 1800s.
