Raiders of the Sun (1992)

Raiders of the Sun (1992)
Member Rating:
Raiders of the Sun is a Filipino variation of Mad Max. In a post-apocalyptic world, warrior Richard Norton does what he can to survive. Since society was laid low by a biological mishap, provisions are at a premium, and the villains will do anything to grab up all they can for profit. Norton is a bit more altrustic: he wants to restore world order, even if he has to rearrange a few faces to do so. The all-purpose leading lady in Raiders of the Sun is Brigitta Steinberg, dressed in as close to nothing as possible. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Fans of this style of movie will enjoy Raiders of the Sun. It has all the basic things needed for great wasteland action. Great vehicles, over the top battles. And the battles do not stop throughout the whole film. The good guys find a secret village in the forest that is still mining gunpowder after the great holocaust. The good guys train the villagers in the ways of hand to hand combat in return for some of the gunpowder. The good guys intentions are to use this super gunpowder to kill off the bad guys and return peace to the wastelands.
