As a big fan of the majority of John Carpenter's work, "Cigarette Burns" ranks up there with some of his best. If you enjoyed "In The Mouth of Madness", you should dig this. I would also like to take this opportunity to nominate this for Best All-time Decapitation! This is a very dark short film, and probably not everyone's cup of tea. As part of Showtime's Masters of Horror series, running time is approximately 60 minutes, and the special features include trailers of other Masters of Horror episodes featuring the work of Argento, Hooper, Dante, Landis and others. I'm looking forward to viewing some of the others as they are released. There are also interesting "making of" featurettes and a great interview with Carpenter. Add this to your queue if you are a fan of Carpenter or just appreciate well made dark horror.

As long as you do go into this expecting a high, budget, highly publicized movie then you will love it. It is disturbing as it should be, John Carpenter needs psychiatric help and I love it. Great twist at the end.
