The question as to how far a corporate drone would go to land a high-level position at a multinational corporation is explored in Argentinian director Marcelo Piñeyro's back-stabbing boardroom drama that takes its name from a mysterious human-resources strategy imported from the United States as a means of choosing the best man for the job. As the time for a decision draws near, the streets of Madrid are awash with anti-globalization protesters; and the tension between job applicants Carlos (Eduardo Noriega), Nieves (Najwa Nimri), Fernando (Eduard Fernández), Ana (Adriana Ozores), and Enrique (Ernesto Alterio) comes to a head. As the corporate lackeys engage in an increasingly dehumanizing series of psychological games and scorching betrayals, the choice of who will ultimately take the reins of the coveted position will ultimately depend on which applicant is willing to employ the most diabolical techniques of manipulation. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

rarely do I want a movie to slow down so I can savor it longer. This is an adventure with group dynamics and perhaps a parable of humanity divided against itself. It is worth every minute.

Very good movie that described perfectly how, otherwise decent human beings, and now "corporate's whores", executives with their fake smiles, good manners, and suits, are ready to "kill" each other to get the job. This movie underlines the loneliness of these "corporate warriors" who do not realize how miserable they are. Remind me of my best friend, a corporate lawyer, ( a "corporate whore" as he used to call himself!) who decided to quit before becoming completely abject. He sold his nice appartment in Paris, left his girl friend (a very pretty and successful lawyer but addicted to her job), gave up most of his belongings (car, clothing, furnitures, etc.). He is now an artist, sculptor, carving stones, and living in a small village in a remote location in the country. He has never been so happy, living with few, like an ermit.
