This film was a little strange, but a good strange. Solid performances from all of the cast. I had to laugh at William Hurt as the clueless dad, and the characters are all a little quirky. If you are looking for cartoon humor or shoot 'em up, you will not find it here. But if you had ever wished to be that fly on the wall of any american family, your dream will be fullfilled.

No great plot or action - yet very engaging from beginning to end. Realistic characters and terrific acting.

I had seen this film some time ago and foregot that I had..on the second go around it seemed better and more interesting in a funky sort of way..I didn't see what the fuss was all about..so the two boys were discovering something about who they were and life itself..that's what it was all about..puppy love in all directions and manner..a bit overdramatised..good acting though on all sides nevertheless. 3 stars!
