Whereas most films that are 40 years old are cheesy and lame by today's standards, this one has stood the test of time. Well written, well acted and interesting. One can't ask for more than that in a film made in 1968. Anthony Perkins always did play the insane characters well. As for Tuesday Weld, she's smokin' in this one.

The best reason to watch this movie is Tuesday Weld, and her acting skills are quite good too. She adds tremendously to the element of dark humor. Tuesday plays a high school girl that seduces Perkins. He thinks he is using her, when he finally discovers that he was being played, his reaction is priceless.

What a crazy story! I am surprised this isn’t more of a cult film.It is not predictable, that’s for sure and the various twists kept me glued to the screen. Good performances, excellent screenplay. Beverly Garland stands out in the cast.
