The sequels pale in comparison to the first. Yet, this was pretty good-the costumes, the acting-Cate Blanchett is superb, and the history as it unfolds. No real chemistry between Blanchett and Clive Owen who looks simply delicious, but there really wasn't supposed to be as you'll find out when you watch the movie. I had a good time seeing Elizabeth so powerful, the jaded appreciation for Walsingham, her loyal subject and Elizabeth so human and vulnerable in the face of adversity as well as never being allowed Love for the sake of her throne. Watch it, It's worth it.

This was actually better than I expected. I am a big fan of historical epics, and this one covers a lot of the famous parts of Queen Elizabeth's time.

This movie held my attention the whole time and I loved seeing the different costumes Cate wore. Clive was moody as usual but he always plays characters the same way. Cate was amazing, I couldn't stop watching her! Great movie!
