This movie was pretty good. I was picturing it to be just a slasher film, but it is actually a horror drama with a really good twist and alot of suspense. Very interesting story. In the extras, the filmmaker explains that this was written in such a way because the author didn't want it turned into a movie. But I have to say the filmmaker succeeded in capturing the story on film. I reccommend this movie.

Up until 1 hour and 22 minutes, the general feeling was this movie shouldn't be added to anyone's queue. The acting was TV soap opera bad. The cinematography was filled with too many unsteady, long shots, as noted in the "Making Of" extra. The sound, consisting almost of saxophone music, was annoying. The story didn't seem to make sense. And the synopsis exaggerated the energy level of the movie. And then, at 1:22 into the movie, the storyline woke up and delivered one twist after another and earned its 3 star rating. Kumiko Aso, who is a very beautiful actress, is almost unrecognizable as the character "Chinatsu". The audio is in stereo. As for extras, there is a "Making Of" featurette, several deleted scenes and a theatrical trailer. There is a "Special Deleted Scene", but it didn't appear anymore special than the other deleted scenes. Mildly recommended, but only because of the last half hour.

the Synopsis for this movie sounded original, so i wanted to like it. unfortunately, the 2 major "twists" in the movie are impossible to miss beforehand. the last 30-40 minutes are almost unbearable - the characters explain the obvious to you and try to create some emotional context after all the action is already over.
