This film was made as an Italian TV project, so the gore factor is considerably lower than a lot of the director's other movies. Nonetheless, there is some bloodletting and a satisfying storyline that borrows heavily from Hitchcock's Rear Window. A young student likes to stand on his balcony watching his neighbors' activities. He gets more than he bargained for when one sexy neighbor's mother is murdered and he decides to solve the crime along with his unwilling girlfriend. Natch they soon find themselves in danger. The lead actor is a bit annoying and the ending a bit convoluted, but it is fairly entertaining. Many feel this is better than Argento's previous outing, The Card Player, but I liked that more. This is way better than his version of Phantom of the Opera.

Good and fun . Makes more sense if you are familair with Hitchcock's movies, it is an homage to a few of his . Young man peeking out window is witness to most horrible murder; but has he watched too many movies or should he mind his business and let it go?
