It's difficult to recommend this to someone because the subject matter is sometimes serious (breast cancer, domestic abuse, family conflict), and yet it's hard to take any of it seriously because parts of it are so exaggerated, especially Sally Kirkland's character. There are moments that are meant to be humorous, but the humor is pretty weak. Still, it's not the worst 90 minute film I've seen. However, there were times I did fast forward over a few parts just because it got a bit tiresome. Watching these women drinking and fighting amongst themselves got to me after a while. But if you're not put off by family conflict, and you can identify with mother/daughter issues, then you might enjoy this movie. Certainly Sally Kirkland put lots of energy into her role as the mother/grandmother drama queen.
