Synopsis of Laguna Beach: Season 01

Season one of Laguna Beach zeroes in on nine teenagers who live in the titular California community as they sweat out their final months of high school. Narrating the action is party-loving L.C. (aka Lauren Conrad), who is fond of a boy named Stephen Colletti. Unfortunately, Stephen is dating Kristin Cavallari, which may explain why Kristin and L.C. have nary a kind word for one another. Also seen during the first season are Trey Philips, who is one of Stephen's best friends and is torn between acting cool and expressing his inner sensitivities; Dieter Schmitz, who has already drawn up plans to attend the same college as Stephen; Morgan Olsen, whose lofty dreams are destined for a collision course with grim reality; Lo Bosworth, a fashion-conscious lass who seems destined to be the next Paris Hilton; Christina Schuller, daughter of a TV evangelist and an aspiring Broadway star; and Talan Torierro, an athlete and chick magnet.
