This movie definitely comes across more like a play than a movie. It's about three sisters and their brother, who are the children of a deceased academician. In the course of the story we learn about some of the family secrets that have caused deep wounds in all of them. Eveb though they are very bright, the sisters seem powerless in coming to terms with their internal conflicts. An intelligently written and thoguht-provoking story.

...very depressing. There is no happy ending where everything turns out o.k. Not that it should have one, but with all of the emotional pain in these characters I would have liked to see someone really rebound and do good for themselves. The characters are a mess and just seem to come to terms with how they mistreat each other and continue in that same fashion because that's just how they are. Definitely not any type of feel good movie. Plenty of profanity to go around for all. I was a bit numb to it after awhile. If you are feeling dark you may want to check this out to see that your family really isn't as screwed up as you thought!

I was incredibly moved by all the complexities in the family's dynamics. It did start off slow, but get past that, and you have got yourself in very deep. Gives me a lot to think about for days to come...
