Okay. I loved the first movie, so I was anticipating the 2nd one. I was VERY disappointed with the way the story developed. It was just repetitive and not scary. It started out great...then repetitive with a horror scene over and over...if a movie has no up and down climax wise, it will be boring. The movie had alot more creative 'jumpers' than the first which I liked, but then the story behind why the grudge was still going on got a little confusing. Don't get the movie having high expectations because it didn't live up to the levels of its first movie...but a fun thrilling ride though...a few jumpy scenes here and there...but over all not impressive.

The move is just ok. The story behind the film, the underlying, lingering anger coming back to haunt you, is a great concept; however, the movie just does not do it justice. Perhaps the original film was better and should have never been re-done. There is too much "fluff" in the film, trying to make it appeal to mainstream audiences, and it ends up belittling the important elements of the plot. Would not recommend it. It had its "scary" moments, which is what makes is passable. On another note, the separate stories that are trying to be intertwined just dont work - nothing like what you see in Crash or Magnolia.

Lets face it, the story in these movies is hard to follow. I think that there is just too much going on at once, and too many characters to follow. However, I still think it is a good movie that will give you a few scares. When I saw it in theatres I was the only one of my seven friends that knew what was going on, so I had to explain everything twice. The acting is descent, and the special effects okay. This movie was nothing extraordinary, but I will still recommend it to horror movie buffs...
