Synopsis of Venus on the Halfshell

Two people without much in common discover that their friends and families have even less of a connection with their new loves in this offbeat romantic comedy. Pretty Jackie Zelinski (Monica Serene Garnich) works as a forest ranger, and one day while out on patrol she happens upon Hendrix O'Hara (Jonathan Aubé), a bohemian artist who has had a major wreck on his motorcycle. Jackie gets him medical help, and while he heals they spend a lot of time together; before long, the two have fallen in love. However, not everyone approves of their new relationship, most notably Sam (Miguel Perez), Jackie's boozehound dad, and Honey (Jennifer Gareis), Hendrix's former wife who hasn't been able to let go despite their divorce. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi
