I'm sending this movie back asap! What can I say? I love my Lord and find great joy in music that worships Him. HOWEVER- this movie was bad...I'm talking Vanilla Ice, Milli Vanilli bad. The review that is on this site for it is NOT ACCURATE. The plot is difficult to discern, but it is centered around a PK (Crown Royal- yes, cheesy) and his family. Crown has gotten into trouble with a loan shark, has mistresses and a wife, babies all over town, and a bad perm. Pastor Royal- the father is ashamed of Crown's ways, but is attempting to launch a family unity project (and a church from the looks of the set). The mother has songs...oh, and gastric cancer. The sister, Dr. Royal "loves the Lord" and has 5 ex husbands. There is another brother who is the family favorite. Character development is weak. Singing is poor. The plot is poorly executed. Acting is very poor. I enjoyed maybe 5 minutes of the movie. Those were hopeful times when I thought it would get better. Be forewarned.

This movie was so bad I could only watch 1/2 of the movie. I was really expecting a whole lot more. It started out with some direction as to what the movie was about but then all of the sudden it jumped to separate issues but none tied to each other. Well, maybe at the end. Like I said I didn't finish it. I did like the scene between the mother and son in the beginning when he was descibing his plight as a pastor's son. I think that is somewhat like what PK's go through today. But overall the movie was done in bad taste.

I have never seen a movie as bad as this one. It is off the chart, meaning it does not even rate a fraction of a star. If you can manage to get some grasp on a possible plot, the acting is so bad that whatever you think you have figured out is lost. There is one redeeming feature and that is the singing, not the songs because some of them were horrible. The theme song (Get Thee Behind Me) is a horrible melody not to mention nonsense lyrics. Trust me if you cannot manage to see this movie for free, don't waste your dollar. At any rate I doubt that you will be able to find a copy. The place we rented from using a free trial had to scour the country to find a single copy in some dumpster pile building located in the mid-west. We sent the copy back and they sent it back to us.They were trying to rid their inventory of this atrocity I am sure.
