Robin Williams is brilliant, and funny. In this situation comedy he is crazy and funny, but the show is certainly hokey most of the time. There are also some great bit part performances.

We recently put this series in our queue because I enjoyed it as a kid and wanted my young teens and tweenager to see them as well. Our 13 year old son has asperger's syndrome and has difficulty reading faces so sometimes we use tv shows and pause them to ask him about the characters and what they may be feeling. This turned out to be such a great series because Mork (being from outer space) doesn't know how to do things in our culture and neither do kids with AS. He also takes every word literally which is also another similarity with asby kids. My daughters thought it was a bit stupid but at least they know a bit better how to help their brother. When Mork makes a social mistake, Mindy explains what he needs to do instead and it helps to have someone else reinforcing good social behavior instead of just mom and dad.

It was very nostalgic for me to see these episodes all over again.
