Waste of time. How can a movie called "Sex & The Beaties" have no nudity??

I enjoyed this movie way more than I thought I would. For those who looked at the title thinking they will see a lot of sex and beautiful women, they must know that there is no sex, although I do find the women in the movie to be quite beautiful. This is definitely a chick flick, so guys beware! The absurd plot is good for a laugh, though.

Despite the title, there's nothing provocative in this movie. However, there are plenty of beautiful, Hong Kong women to look at. Basically this is a weak relationship movie between unlikely characters. Calling it a Hong Kong version of "Sex in the City" is a stretch, but given the story, that may be the easiest way to describe the movie. Although there are several good laughs with most of them coming from Athena Chu, there's not enough to call it a comedy. Athena Chu's performance is very similar to what Miriam Yeung might have done had she been given the role. The subtitles suffered from a poor translation and severe grammatical errors that made the dialogue almost unintelligible. The audio is output in stereo. As for extras, there's a trailer for the movie. Not really recommended.
