Surprisingly good movie. Better than I expected.

Not a great film. I am not sure if this was a mede for tv movie but is sure seems like it. Crappy acting is prevalent but the films biggest flaw is how low budget the film appears to be. Watch it if you must but if you are truly interesed in in a film surrounding afghanistan and or the taliban you are much better off watching the film "Osama."

This movie was designed to tug your sympathies and the script is written more for the emotional hit than drama or education. Photography is just OK and back story is weak. What did make this movie special is the interaction between Lewis and Layala Alizada and the "system". Even given all the flaws, the characters moved the story to the point you felt for them. That said - in other directorial hands this could have been a great film.
