This movie was well acted. My hat is off to Julianne Moore, Samuel L Jackson and Edie Falco, but the script left something to be desired. At times the movie dragged on, and some of the scenes in the project could have been eliminated and still made the desired racial statements. Over done in some spots and not done enough in others, don't waste the three bucks unless you just want to see if you agree!

If you want to see a better movie that has a similar topic, I'd suggest Gone Baby Gone. Though that movie doesn't have the racial tension aspect, that wasn't very well played out in this movie anyway. You can almost write the next lines and scenes out in your head as you watch the movie. The dialogue between Samuel L. Jackson's character and Juilanne Moore's character is very drab and hard to sympathize with. You may become sick of some of the questions they repeatedly ask and may find yourself yelling "answer the question already!" I find a lot of it hard to believe or sympathize with at all, despite the subject matter. Watch Law and Order episodes or CSI instead of this movie, I'd say. Oh yeah, it definitely didn't help that there was about a ten to fifteen minute over-the-table dialogue scene between the two main characters.
