This eight-episode cable reality series found four "average American" families in a competition to create the perfect house. Each family was given an unadorned house shell and assigned to redress and redecorate the place room by room. Each family was also helped along by separate professional designers: Darla Blake, Nicole Facciuto, Barclay Fryery, and Jakob Hawkins. One by one, the families were eliminated from the competition, with the remaining clan winning an all-expense-paid dream house.
