In the third-season opener of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Hercules (Kevin Sorbo) is sailing to Sparta with a prisoner: the mercenary Derk (Jeremy Roberts), slated to stand trial for murder. En route, Hercules and Derk are shipwrecked on an unchartered island where the captor and captive spend the next several minutes setting traps for one another.
