Bob Newhart is the MC hosting this collection of dusty old B&W performances of yesteryear like Gene Autry and Roy Rogers mixed in with some less ancient bits in color like the Muppets. Newhart adds historical comments with relevant footage at the start of each segment. Johnny Mathis was the shinning star of the show doing two numbers. The truth is I stepped past some of the performances and ended up not watching it all.

Nostalgic! It was fun seeing some of the greats in earlier years. Enjoyed the variety show atmosphere which is almost non-existant, now. Christmas music was delightful.
