PAUL S.

This is a movie about mistaken identity. A eulogist takes an invitation of a "client" to a head of state ball. While there, he gains the admiration of influential politicians by insulting the much maligned prime minister. Now, everyone thinks that he has the strength and insight of a leader. He gets a great job with a manufacturer, then heads up a ministry, and then finally makes it into government and the position of prime minister. Although he hides his true past, it eventually catches up with him, but no one cares, because in politics, it's all about image. The acting and screenplay are a bit stale. The highlights are the few sequences with nude Polish babes. You definitely get a sense of Poland watching this film. They are very patriotic, almost to the point of xenophobia. In addition, they push corruption as the way of life. Not a great movie... just a "B" movie.
