A team of environmentalists, lead by publicity-hungry Vincent (Jaason Simons), sneaks aboard a North Atlantic oil rig in an effort to thwart its demolition. Problems arise almost immediately, with the electricity and the radio, but not the least of their troubles is an unseen body-hopping entity that is murdering them in horrific ways one at a time. Or is it one of their own? Wheelchair-bound Crawford (Noel Fitzpatrick) has some ideas, few of them very healthy and most of them regarding a chalk pentangle on a deck below. ~ Buzz McClain, Rovi

This could have been much better if they got some real actors, the acting was horrible, it did have a decent story to it nothing great, pretty much a crap shoot skip on this one......Enjoy.

I guess with a name like Ghost Rig, you're not expecting a great movie. However, I thought the actors were very good and the filming was excellent. The story was this film's weakest point and it didn't feel like the plot kicked in until the last 30 minutes. There were a couple of very good twists in terms of characters (again, in the last 30 minutes) that I thought was very clever. Not the worst flick I've ever seen.

This "film" was pretty awful. The plot didn't make much sense. I could never wrap my mind around why they were even on this oil rig in the first place. BIG holes in the storyline and things were not wrapped up. I don't typically like Australian films and had I known this was one (at least I THINK it was--most of the performers seemed to have Australian accents) I wouldn't have wasted a rental on this.
