The SG-1 team is convinced that their comrade Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks) was burned to death during an escape from the planet Oannes. In truth, Jackson is still alive and a captive of the amphibious humanoid Nem (Gerald Plunkett). Playing for time, Jackson agrees to help Nem locate his partner Omorca, who lived on earth during the Babylonian era.
