Penn & Teller: B.S.! [TV Series] (2003)

Penn & Teller: B.S.! [TV Series] (2003)
Member Rating:
Few TV-listing services could print the actual title of this irreverent weekly pay-cable series without incurring the wrath of bluenoses and angry parents. Thus, the series was referred to as Penn & Teller: Bull----! -- and, in those instances when even those blank spaces were too explicit, the program was retitled Penn & Teller: BS. By any name, the program was a vehicle for the "gonzo" comedy-magic team of Penn Jillette (the one who talked) and Teller (the one who didn't). Claiming they could smell frauds, phonies, and mountebanks "from miles away," the dauntless duo successfully exposed the flim-flammery behind TV psychics, bogus scientific investigations, and trendy cult movements. The series made its first Showtime Network appearance on January 24, 2003. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
