I have always loved this movie. Now that I have children, I wanted to share it with them. They really liked it! -For the person who wants to make a big deal of taking the lords name in vain etc. etc. I say "I'm glad you don't hear what they hear in ONE day of school! Because you couldn't take it!" I watched this WITH my children & explained things & other things I let go. They know right from wrong. We just enjoyed & laughed!

This is a great movie. I've seen it a dozen times over the years. Wonderful acting and a wonderful plot. IIt's funny and heartwarming. It does use the Lord's name in vain a couple of times, and there is one scene where some kids are smoking. If you were shocked by this then you didn't pay attention to the PG RATING. Of course I wouldn't watch it with my 3-year-old granddaughter because of the language BUT she would be bored anyway. Kids over the age of 11 or 12 will enjoy it, if you can get them away from their totally violent video games. And there IS this thing called a "pause" button where you can remind them that cursing and smoking are wrong.
