always a keitel fan, admittingly this is no Bad Lt or Resevoir Dogs it is a okay movie. I've read reviews trashing Macdowell and the length of the fim. She is consistant and not present enough to be distracting and does length result in how good a movie is, try watching the movie not the clock. Its a interesting and engaging movie that held my interest and curiousity. It presets a foriegn place and utilizes its scenery, has some eerie nuns and shady local cops. It reminded me of Insomnia and criimson River, I'd say it falls between those films in quality. I loved Insomnia with Stellan Skarsgaard and was disappointed by crimson rivers that only had a few moments. It's easy to see why keitel would want to participate in this it offers some dramatic scenes to sink his chops into and some fun action scene running and shooting in a chase over a bridge. Another good film with Keitel and Macdowell is Shadrach.

Even though I am a fan of Harvey Kietal, it was not a movie that I can recommend to anyone. The movie tried to make this a high drama with some violence and intrique. Illogical scenes of someone moving around the country side even with a car seems a bit unrealistic. There are flashbacks trying to bring you up to what the plot is all about.
