Macaulay Culkin lookalike (and soundalike) Mike Weinberg steps into the role of resourceful youngster Kevin McAllister in this made-for-TV sequel to the immensely popular theatrical Home Alone trilogy. On this occasion, young Kevin finds himself stranded in the computerized "safe house" owned by Natalie (Joanna Going), the predatory new girlfriend of Kevin's recently divorced dad Peter (Jason Beghe). Combining the technology of the house with his own improvisational brilliance, Kevin endeavors to save a royal heir from a trio of kidnappers, one of whom is the boy's old burglar nemesis Marv Merchants (French Stewart, replacing the first two films' Daniel Stern). Needless to say, Kevin also finds time to befriend an adult "outcast" and to bring his parents back together. This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. First of all, why is kevin young again? Also, it's called home alone because Kevin is supposed to be by himself. The fist 2 movies he was but what's up with this one. I would not even bother wasting your money to go rent it. The first three movies atleast show kevin planning the traps and they were good ones too. This movie for some reason, Kevin just randomly has all these traps set up and they were so stupid too. None of them were as even close to being painful as in the previous home alone's. Another bad thing about this movie is they rip off lines from the original which is sad. Kevin says I'm not apologizing to buzz i wish i was the only child". Then his mom says a alternate same line from the original to Kevin. That's really how lame this movie is, not to mention how bad the acting is. Half the time the kid who plays kevin acts so horrific it's funny yet sad.

This movie was horrible. Not even worth the time fast forwarding to the "fun" scenes at the end. Let the movie die. Please. My 8 year old wandered off a few times during the movie because he was bored and came back to watch the end. Twice.
