Ever in need of extra money, Lucy (Lucille Ball bluffs herself into a job as society columnist for the local newspaper. After several typically Lucy-like misadventures, the erstwhile newshound is on the verge of being fired. To save her job, Lucy tries to arrange an interview with a prominent millionaire--but to do this, she'll have to disguise herself as her roommate Viv (Vivian Vance).
