Synopsis of Small Potatoes

As can be determined from the British sitcom Small Potatoes, the "slacker" mentality prevalent in the late '90s ultimately spilled over from the U.S. to the U.K. Standup comedian Tommy Tiernan starred as Ed Hewitt, a twentysomething layabout who somehow landed a job in a North East London video rental shop. True, Ed was lazy, indolent, and downright rude at times, but he was none too good for his customers and fellow workers.
