Unlike many HK comedies, the humorous elements transfer well in Carry on Pickpocket. The pacing is quick, the choreography reasonably clever and inventive. The comedy is leavened here and then with relatively short martial arts scenes, at least until the grand finale. The final fight scene is surprisingly brutal in places, considering the light tone of what has come before. No matter. If you're a Sammo Hung fan, you will most likely enjoy this flick.
