This film disguises itself as the documentary of John Lennon's life. It is anything but. Instead half of the entire film recounts his murder. No only do they spend half of the film talking about Mark Chapman but they dont even get the basic facts right about the motivations. The second half of the film is a collection of some of the most worthless Beatles footage I have ever seen in my life. They jump around in time with no concern on how they are protraying events. In no way does this film portray the life of John Lennon. If someone where to watch this film with no knowledge of John Lennon or The Beatles they would come to the conclusion that John Lennon was some guy how wrote songs in New York and was shot to death in front of his apartment. This film is not only an insult to John Lennon but the millions of people who loved him.

This was a poorly done documentary, Some home movie style film was interesting, but without much new to offer fans.

This documentary was a waste! It had interviews that appeared in this cheesy film reel effect style! So annoying to watch. This isn't a great film to rent, buy or watch for it didn't even focus on Lennon the artist. This documentary was extremely one dimensional dwelling on his death. Don't get me wrong it is a tragedy that we lost this musician but I'm just saying if you're going to do ANY type of documentary do it by balancing the life, the art, and all the other aspects that goes into an individual's history and being! If you're a Lennon fan or are interested in the guy, I recommend you rent: U.S. verses John Lennon (in which centers on his life as an activist/artist) or Imagine: John Lennon (which presents his music and his complex character)
