This wuxia fantasy is directed by Tsui Hark and is a spectacle unmatched in asian cinema. If you like Fantasy Movies then you will love this movie!

This review refers to "Zu Warrior", the newer, rereleased version of "The Legend of Zu". The single best feature about this movie is the special effects. Ten years later, the special effects still look great and is one of the best special effects movies to come out of Hong Kong. The storyline plays a back seat to the special effects and is more suited for a younger audience and those who like fantasy Wuxia movies like "Storm Rider". Unfortunately, the Wuxia flying and high pitched voice, rubber suited bad guy made it hard to take the film seriously. The disc contains two versions of the movie. The US version is 1h20m21s long, is English dubbed with good voice acting and is output with stereo audio. The Cantonese version is 1h44m01s long, uses the Cantonese language and is output with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. The Cantonese version Dolby Digital 5.1 audio made minor use of surround sound. As for extras, there's a "The Making of Zu Warriors" featurette (18:35 min). Lightly recommended.

I thought I would like it more than I did. I turned it off before it ended. Too far fetched to follow.
