This movie has quite a take on things...some shots/scenes could have been left out...overall I am glad I saw it.

This film has an amateurish feeling to it, and the story ambles all over the place. The ending is just as uneven as the rest of the film. That said, there are some points scored for taking risks and for it's examination of love and relationships. There is some gratuitous S&M behavior which really adds nothing to the film, and which could easily be removed, and there are just too many characters, few of which are fleshed out well. There are some interesting points to this film, but it needs some work. I'm glad I saw it, but it isn't great, even within its limited genre.

Luster is a film in which persons can address their specialness, what is your drive, yes it is a low budget romantic comedy but it strikes the chords of individuality in a complex demand of social normalcy for the brillance of the soul to shine in love. I like the movie, the lighting is off, the acting is real not slow, the poetry is the key to understanding the sentiment expressed. What a motif!
