This is one of my go to chick flix. I think it was originally made for TV. Ricki Lake is relatable as the "fat chick", lonely and looking for hope and understanding. Although the points are exaggerated and the acting only so so, any women who ever left behind by the people she loves can appreciate this love story. It's about the imperfect lives we live and trying to improve ourselves. It's about taking chances and doing the right thing, even in the simplest terms.
