Argentine Daniel Burman's TODOS LAS AZAFATAS VAN AL CIELO is less jumpy and agitated than either "Waiting for the Messiah" or "Lost Embrace" (though it does feature their star, the betwixt & between Daniel Hendler as--sort of--the same character). Instead, it's a graceful, gentle love story about a couple of would-be suicides. Burman allows his philosophical side to emerge here (sometimes a little too heavily), but generally he builds events from character & creates a quiet, sweet story of people who live in the air & others who are more grounded. If the ending is too easy, there are plenty of delights along the way, including a splendid duet between hospital patient & caregiver that beautifully details how fond of each other these two types can grow. The cast is first-rate, led by the teddy bearish Alfredo Casero as sad/kindly hero, Ingrid Rubio as pert, pretty heroine, & the classy, classic Norma Aleandro as her mother. Oh--and there are some wonderfully inventive visuals here, too.

I never saw the film because the copy that was sent did not play well...

This movie starts off very slow but builds up and becomes a lot more interesting in the middle until the end. Not the best movie, but not bad. For a more detailed review, refer to James V.'s review. He sums it up very well.
