Don't get this one if you really want to see atmosphere bursting into flames. Someone at Blockbuster was into the 'special' brownies the day he/she wrote the synopsis for this one. It's a forest fire, a really bad CG forest fire with really bad acting, a really bad script, and it's really bad all the way around. Save yourself, don't watch this movie!!

I'll be honest, I decided to rent the movie based on the idea of the world bursting into flames and some superhero cheerleader being the one to save the world... it would be the ultimate cheese fest of sci-fi doomsday movies. However that is not what the movie is, it was a forest fire, started by an arsonist trying to be a hero. The acting was mediocre, the effects were crap, in the final scene where they blow part of the damn on a reservoir to flood out the fire the water level on the lake doesn't even go down. However, I did really like the soundtrack and to be honest, if the synopsis had been accurate and I known what to expect I would have rated it higher (to be honest, when they said there was another fire about halfway through in another part of the state before they showed the arsonist I had hope that the synopsis may still be right which made it even worse in the end).

If you read the synopsis on the sleeve you'll think you are watching the wrong movie, it is nothing like what the movie is. it wasn't that bad but based on what it is supposed to be I'm giving it only 2 stars.....and that's being kind.
