Like most of their neighbors, Arnold and Gerald love their community, and when they learn that Scheck (voice of Paul Sorvino), a wealthy and powerful developer, plans to buy up their neighborhood, tear down the buildings, and put up a massive shopping mall in its place, they decide something has to be done. While the adults come up with a dodgy scheme to blow up the streets in their neighborhood, Arnold and Gerald hatch a more practical scheme, with the help of Helga (voice of Francesca Marie Smith), who can't decide if she likes Arnold or hates his guts. Arnold and Gerald learn that their neighborhood was designated a historical landmark years ago, but can they prove it before Scheck moves in with his bulldozers? Hey Arnold! I like Arnold. Sometimes when the kids are watching tv, I'll listen in on what it is they're watching. The 'Hey Arnold' series has very diverse characters, believable, real-life situations, and moral and ethical beliefs behind it. And, it's funny and very enjoyable. So, of course I get this for the kids, and find myself watching with them. And of course, it is like the show on tv...great entertainment, great story, great characters. With take-offs of some popular adult movies that the kids won't get, everyone can find something to cheer Arnold on for.

I like 'Hey Arnold'. I think it is a shame the show was cancelled. Old 'Football Head' was cool and a good influence. This is a great movie and I highly recommended it for all ages.

Some years back Nickelodeon developed a great lineup of cartoons that were good enough for us "big" kids, fun, had really cool characters, taught morals and ethics without being super-juvenile about it, and I watched every chance I got. Great for kids. There were a bevy of them and now, nothing. Besides Spongebob I haven't watched Nick cartoons for years. I rented this to just go back for an hour and remember. It was fun but made me sad for all we've lost as well. Wish you were here football head...
