A police squad (headed by Simon Yam and Donnie Yen) attempt to bring a drug trafficking ring to justice. Character development is old school Hong Kong actioner style, with a few brief happy moments to earn viewer sympathy. The storyline is basic yet engaging, and some of the plot developments are actually shocking and totally unexpected. The action is well-spaced, executed proficiently, and very violent. The stuntmen earn their pay with some hard falls. This is an underrated, solid entry that beats out most other films of the 1980s due to its constant entertainment from beginning to end.
