Keanan plays a precocious girl and does an excellent job of it. Though the film came out in 1990 it has an 80s vibe to it. Especially when the film shows middle school girls dating high school boys. Ladd does a decent job as Lisa's mom but it's Moffett who gets credit for playing a really creepy yet well-dressed Richard. The climax is somewhat involving, using darkened rooms to convey suspense. It's a film mostly forgetten but has it's gems like the comment about guys who bleach their hair and wear earrings when talking about singer George Michael. It also shows how actors like Tambor can easily build up a resume (and a living) through small films.
