In the first installment of the two-part "Workforce," a radiation leak, caused by a collision between the Voyager and a floating space mine, forces the crew members to evacuate to the planet Quarra. Here they are captured, brainwashed, and placed into forced labor. Her mind under the complete control of her captors, and with no memory of her previous existence, Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) so loves her new job that she ends up a prime candidate to carry out a diabolical assassination scheme.
