Just as great as I remembered it. And i saw this when I was probably 6 (in 86). And I remembered the tree and stuff. But I don't remember thinking that it was lewd. Still don't. I have some "pleasantly plump" female relatives in my family. Does that mean I won't let my child (when I have one) hug them because their breast will be in the way? No. Children will find the scene funny (because they can relate) and if anything embarassing or "gross". I mean, the witch in the Little Mermaid wasn't a prude from the way she looked and acted. Children don't think Sex, Adults do. I only wish they would "digitally remaster" the movie, she was a little too bleached out.

I saw this as a child and knew that it hit me in a way no other movie had before. Seeing again as an adult, I see why. It was so different and sad. As a child you just want the happy ending but now that I see it the message is so clear. Also very true to the book.

this movie was a childhood favorite for me. in the 80's alot of actual issues that apear in life as an adult was shown in cartoons to prepare kids for the future ..unlike today where kids are protected and given everything in life .. i think that if you would like you child to be a well rounded adult you would look into older cartoon movies to teach your children. this is a good choice ..
